Commercial copywriting on new website home page for Prestige Professional

Prestige Professional is the leading provider of specialist industrial and commercial cleaning and maintenance services across the South West. Exceptional business growth, with an expanding workforce and an increased customer base, meant the team were well-placed to refresh their existing website to reflect this ongoing success, including all-new commercial copywriting.

Commercial copywriting project background

Since being founded in 2010, Prestige Professional has gone from strength to strength. While based near Callington on the Cornish border, their hard work has been rewarded with sustained growth and various industrial and commercial clients, both locally and nationally. Because of this continued growth, the PP team of Scott and Sophie were making plans to refresh their website completely. As a result, the update would include an updated look and feel with new page design, navigation, photography, and all-important commercial copywriting to reflect their specialist service offering.

Copy requirement in full

Of course, having the chance to work again with exceptional freelance web designer Dave Hallett meant I jumped on board the project super quickly. Having quoted for writing all-new website copy for virtually every page in the newly streamlined site map, the copy requirement was broken down like this:

Cleaning intro page, plus x 6 service pages
Maintenance intro page, plus x 4 service pages
Hire intro page, plus x 2 service pages

As well as these crucial service pages, additional site pages also included:

Home
About Us
Divisions
News (intro to their blog and news)
Case Studies (intro to their previous projects)
Health & Safety (info on the company’s H&S credentials)
Contact Us

Together with SEO supplied by Dave for many of the pages, including the crucial service pages, I kickstarted the process with one service page to get the ‘OK’ for copy style, tone, and content. Once approved, this would flow through the remaining service pages for continuity. Following approval on all the service pages, I moved to the remaining site pages, ready for comments and feedback.

Nailing the copy and going live

It’s always a thrill to receive feedback with minimal copy changes, and that’s precisely what I got from Sophie. A few minor amends on only a handful of pages, alongside comments left on our shared Trello board like “The tiniest of tweaks—other than that, all good to go!!“, “This is fantastic!“, and “You’ve absolutely nailed it! Love it!” (These are exactly the comments every copywriter wants to hear!).

Once all pages were complete and approved, all the copy went back to Dave. In a separate process, the all-new photography and site page layout designs all had approval from Scott and Sophie. Now, it was down to Dave and his team to work their web design magic to create the slick, sleek, and sophisticated website that was fully launched in February 2024.
